EarthWater Global, Alexandria, Virginia

I joined EarthWater Global because its mission to “help countries solve their fresh water shortages” is closely aligned with my career goal of integrating water cycle research across traditional disciplines in an end-to-end program that transitions theoretical research to real-world application in order to make a real difference to improving people’s lives. As the Director of Atmospheric Sciences and Hydrology, I am responsible for providing information on the fate of precipitation, runoff and its recharge into groundwater aquifers. This include satellite-based local short term statistical information on rainfall/snowpack/glacier, especially in heavily fractured mountainous regions. I also managed the company’s information technology, assisting in personnel development, and interacted with clients, investors and partners. Supervisor: R. Bisson
