Paul’s Aquariums and Fish Room

You may not know that I am actually quite an avid aquarium hobbyist.  I breed and raise various kinds of tropical fish in my basement (I have over 2000 gallons of habitat in the house).  So, needless to say, I find it quite amusing when I get called out for not being a fisheries biologist.  In fact, my experience breeding tropical fish is actually a bit more involved than the processes used in salmon/trout hatcheries.  Water quality, temperature, and predator issues are actually a lot harder to control in an artificial home environment than if you have access to native water sources.

Here are some pictures of a few of my tanks and fish room.
