Vision, Build and Grow

I am a visionary and a builder – My passion is to look to the future, visualize a future capability, then design and build the solution.  Then I take great joy in nurturing these ideas and seeing them grow.  Professionally, I have seen many such successes, from the development and great success of the Land Data Assimilation Systems (LDAS) and the Land Information System (LIS), to the development of the NASA-NEWS and CREW research teams, and the mentoring and success of my collegues, employees and students. I also enjoy this process in my personal life, from nurturing my 3 daughters, to gardening and growing my own food, to my lifelong hobby of breeding and raising fish.
